1. Who we are

anelo ("anelo," "we," "us," or "our") provides software and cloud services that help users process and convert media files, including 2D-to-3D conversion, upscaling, frame interpolation, and depth estimation. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our desktop application, website, and cloud services (collectively, the "Services").

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: email address, name (optional), payment information (processed by our payment providers, not stored by us), and authentication credentials.
• Media you upload: if you use our cloud processing services, the media files you submit are temporarily stored and processed on our infrastructure or that of our processors.
• Usage telemetry: anonymous, opt-in performance and diagnostic data such as job duration, GPU utilization, and error logs. This data does not include the contents of your media. You can disable telemetry in Settings at any time.
• Website analytics: standard web analytics (page views, referrer, approximate region, device type) collected via privacy-respecting analytics services.
• Support communications: messages you send to our support channels, retained for service improvement and dispute resolution.

Desktop processing. When you process media using the anelo desktop application, the media is processed locally on your device. The media itself is not transmitted to anelo or any third party as part of that processing.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
• Process payments and provision your account;
• Perform the media processing you request through our cloud services;
• Diagnose technical issues and improve performance;
• Send service-related communications and respond to support requests;
• Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security incidents;
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-party service providers

We use third-party service providers ("processors") to operate the Services, including cloud infrastructure, GPU compute, object storage, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and customer support tooling. These processors are contractually obligated to handle data consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. Categories of processors include:

• Cloud and infrastructure providers (e.g., for storage and compute);
• Payment processors (e.g., for subscription billing);
• Communication providers (e.g., transactional email);
• Analytics and monitoring providers.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

5. Retention and deletion

Media files submitted to our cloud processing services are retained only as long as necessary to complete the requested processing and deliver the result to you. By default, source files and intermediate artifacts are deleted within a short retention window after job completion. Final output files are available for download for a limited period and may be retained according to your plan's storage allowance. You can delete files at any time from your account.

Account information is retained for the duration of your account. Telemetry and analytics data is retained in aggregate or de-identified form for service improvement.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

• Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• Correction: request that inaccurate information be corrected;
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated personal information;
• Portability: receive a copy of your information in a structured format;
• Objection: object to certain processing activities;
• Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent you previously provided.

7. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, authentication, logging, and routine security review. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the country where you reside. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

9. Cooperation with lawful requests

We cooperate with lawful requests from governmental authorities, courts, and law enforcement, including responding to valid subpoenas, court orders, and other legal process. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to (i) comply with applicable law or legal process, (ii) protect the rights, property, or safety of anelo, our users, or the public, or (iii) investigate, prevent, or respond to suspected fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms.

10. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as in-product or email notification).
